November- Flight A - Laura Niles
In her own words:
"I moved to Lincoln Hills from Sacramento in 2014. I was not able to join the Lincsters until 2017 since I was still working for the State of California. I started playing golf after I retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1998 since I didn’t know what a weekend was. Although I play 18 holes regularly on Tuesday mornings and on Sundays with the Ancil Hoffman Business Women’s Group, I have really enjoyed playing with the Lincsters as much as I can. Everyone has been so friendly and the with the Go Away Gals and WHNGA it has been fun getting to know and play with such interesting and amazing women. Thank you for selecting me for golfer of the month and hope to play with more of you soon."
October- Flight D - Cheryl Yost
In her own words:
"When I moved to SCLH 14 years ago, I had never played golf in my life. After watching people play golf for a few years Elfie Jenkins (who is a neighbor and friend) talked me into taking lessons from Steve Treadway.
I’m not a good golfer but I love the Lincsters ladies and the fun we have. All the special tournaments are not only fun but offer a way to help in fundraising. I thank the Lord for making it possible for me to live in such a great community."
September- Flight C - Carmen Farrington
In her own words:
I have been a member of the Lincsters since I moved here from Palm Desert to Lincoln Hills five years ago. I am honored to be selected golfer of the month. I thoroughly enjoy meeting and playing with
so many wonderful ladies. Additionally, some of these acquaintances have developed into amazing friendships. Moreover, I really enjoy the social activities of the group and really look forward to the golf outings and activities.
August - Flight D - Mary Mangum
In her own words:
I moved to Sun City from Marin County during the summer of 2012 and immediately began taking beginning group lessons. It was through those lessons that I found people at my level to play the courses here.
My golf is improving slowly, and I really love playing with all the flights. It seems like I learn something new each time I play. The more I learn, the more fun I have.
Thanks for choosing me for the month of August. What a great way to wind down the hot days of summer and welcome in the cool days of fall play.

"I've lived in Lincoln Hills for 15 years after moving from the Bay Area and joined the Lincsters
about 10 years ago.The Lincsters has become a meaningful part of my life and am blessed with the friendships I've made and the making of new ones. It's also the challenge that golf brings along with a few laughs too that has me showing up on Wednesdays. What
a wonderful organization."
June - Flight B - Sharon Winslow
In her own words:
This is an unexpected honor since my game has not been very good over the last couple of years, but ONE really good day last month REALLY helped! I've been playing golf since 2004 when I moved to SCLH, taking beginners lessons right away. I joined Lincsters a couple of years later when my game finally didn't completely embarrass me. This group makes every day of play a joy, whether I do well or not. I hope I am lucky enough to play many more years with this fabulous and friendly group of women. Thank you all for this opportunity.
May - Flight C - Clareen Bolton
"In 2001 I joined the Ladies XVIII golf club. When they went from playing on Mondays to Thursdays in 2006 I had to quit since I already had a commitment on Thursdays. So that's when I joined the Lincsters. It was the best decision
I ever made. In the past 12 years I have enjoyed every player I have played with. I have served as Secretary and Awards Co-Chair, as well as Chairing and working on various tournaments. I count every day I can still be out there playing golf as a blessing."

I moved to Lincoln Hills from Southern CA in March, 2005. It took me a couple of years to get the confidence to join the Lincsters. It has been a wonderful experience. I always look forward to Wednesday because no matter how bad “golf” goes, there
are always lots laughs to be shared. My philosophy for my golf game now is to enjoy being outdoors with Lincsters friends and to try not to stress too much about the quality of my game.

"I moved here in March of 2016 from Florida. It wasn’t until I moved here that I started to golf on a regular basis. I am so glad that I joined the Lincsters as everyone is so nice and supportive. I really enjoy playing the game now and the companionship."

"I am a Philly girl who moved around with my husband. We spent 10 yrs in Lake Wildwood. Then 10 yrs in The Villages, Florida. I moved here in January 2016. I like the Lincster Ladies. They make you feel welcome right away. I love playing golf and also enjoy
